your face,

your story

Shaping Face offers a profound redefinition of beauty. It shifts the focus from mere aesthetics to a holistic perspective, emphasizing inner harmony as the key to outer radiance. SF recognizes that beauty is not skin-deep; it's a reflection of one's physical, mental, and spiritual balance. This approach encourages a more inclusive and compassionate narrative, challenging the rigid standards imposed by modern beauty ideals. It promotes a genuine, sustainable vision of beauty rooted in health and well-being.

Margaret Webb, LAc

My mission is to help women enhance their unique beauty and improve their energy and vitality at the same time. My goal is for you to walk away feeling like a renewed and glowing version of yourself.

A licensed Acupuncturist of twenty years, I have found that looking and feeling beautiful is not age-dependent. Using multiple facial rejuvenation techniques, that blend the wisdom of Chinese medicine with modern aesthetics I help my clients achieve a radiant appearance by improving the health of the body, skin, and overall energy.

What we see as “aging” is often more the result of poor muscle tone, fluid congestion, dehydration, poor diet, and decreased circulation to the skin surface.

I believe we can feel radiant and glow at any age if we understand how to work with the body’s innate healing abilities. Using a combination of acupuncture, facial massage, lymphatic massage, facial gua sha, microcurrent, and magnetic healing therapy I help my clients look and feel themselves again.

In addition to holistic facial rejuvenation, I also use facial diagnosis, a technique that dates back centuries in Chinese medicine. With a trained eye for subtleties in the face, I can discern imbalances and health issues within the body, allowing for targeted and personalized treatments. This diagnostic technique uses the face as a reflection of the body's overall health, identifying the root causes of ailments. Once these imbalances are corrected, the face and body have a renewed vibrancy.

I welcome you to explore a beauty practice that is deeply transformative and empowering. Whether you are interested in a virtual one-on-one beauty and health reboot or you want to receive hands-on treatments in the clinic I would love to join you on your journey towards better health and increased radiance.

You can find me @ The Road Acupuncture in Austin, TX, and @Shaping Face in Bastrop, TX. You can also work with me online for one-on-one consults as well as live stream classes and educational opportunities.

*I embrace trauma-informed principles and provide a non-judgmental and inclusive environment in all aspects of my work*

  • I work from a holistic health perspective which means that I work to stimulate your body’s own healing potential and that every treatment plan is personalized. Together, we will identify your goals and create a realistic treatment plan that will help you reach those goals. Your plan may include a combination of diet, acupuncture, herbal medicine, lymphatic massage, cupping, and functional medicine testing. And, while my focus is natural healing, I am also comfortable working with clients who are undergoing other medical or aesthetic treatments for their conditions.

  • Acupuncture works by stimulating your body’s own healing chemistry. It makes you a better “healer”! Facial acupuncture and whole body acupuncture work synergistically to complement and reinforce each other.

    Facial acupuncture:

~induces collagen production and fibroblast activity to plump and tone the face.

~Balances facial muscles (relaxes tight muscles and tones sagging muscles.

~improves blood circulation, oxygenates, and brightens the complexion.

    Full body acupuncture:

~releases endorphins (which help the body to heal) and it helps to alleviate

~reduces local and systemic inflammation — which is at the root of many disease processes.

~Increases activity in areas of the brain and enhances brain function to help with depression, anxiety, executive functioning, nervous system disorders, and sleep.

~regulates overall body systems including your immune, digestive, hormonal, and nervous systems.

  • My recommendation for each woman will depend on the individual and will be discussed during your plan of care visit.

If your plan includes acupuncture, then it is important for you to know that the effects are cumulative — the more regularly you come (particularly in the beginning) the better results you will get. So, in the beginning it is helpful to come more frequently. Once you start making improvements the schedule for treatment becomes less frequent until resolution of symptoms or your goals are achieved. We generally recommend 1x monthly for women as maintenance for facial rejuvenation or if you are managing a chronic illness.

If your plan does not include acupuncture then we will have two initial visits: a consult and a plan of care follow-up. After this we will check in every two weeks for a couple months until your symptoms have resolved or your goals have been achieved. An important part of this process is implementing the things you learn during treatment into your everyday life.

  • I work with women of all ages and with various complaints. In addition to my focus on facial rejuvenation, I regularly treat women with peri/menopause symptoms, PCOS, irregular or excessive menstrual bleeding, fibroids, absent periods, thyroid issues, digestive/gut problems, urinary incontinence or urinary infections, allergies, and sexual health concerns.
